Dr. Mihir Kumar Brahma, (1972- ), hailing from Naigaon village of Assam, holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from B.N. College, Dhubri. He furthered his academic pursuits by earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Bodo from Gauhati University. His scholarly journey culminated in a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Linguistics from Assam University, Silchar, where he delved deep into "The Structure of the Southern Dialect of Bodo" as the primary focus of his doctoral research.
Beyond his academic achievements, Dr. Brahma has been actively involved in social services. From 1995 to 2012, he contributed significantly to the Tipkai Anchalik Committee of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU), serving at the district and central committee levels in Dhubri and Kokrajhar.In addition to his organizational roles, Dr. Brahma has demonstrated his commitment to literary and journalistic pursuits. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of "The Mugani Sakhi" (ABSU) and "Fwrwnglai" (Bodo Department Teachers' Association) from October 2014 to November 2018.Currently, Dr. Brahma is an Associate Professor in the Bodo Department of Janata College, Serfanguri, affiliated with Bodoland University, Kokrajhar, Assam.
